> When a Tender Navigator notice shows that its AI overview is still being generated, the summary is being produced for the first open of that notice. Tender Navigator re-checks for about fifteen seconds and fills it in when it arrives; if it does not, the block says no overview is available yet and offers a retry. The rest of the notice is usable meanwhile.

## What is happening

The AI summary of a notice is generated the first time anyone opens it and stored afterwards. If you are the first to open a notice, or the summary could not be stored, the notice arrives without it. The block labelled **AI summary** then says "The overview for this notice is still being generated. The rest of the tender is ready", and the description, dates, codes and other fields are already readable.

## What to do

1. **Wait.** Tender Navigator re-asks for the summary a few times over about fifteen seconds and fills it in when it lands.
2. If the block changes to "No AI overview is available for this notice yet", press its **retry**.
3. If a retry still gives nothing, the summary could not be generated for this notice right now. Read the description and open the original notice; nothing else about the tender is affected.

## Why a notice can have no overview

- The summary service was busy or failed for that notice; a later open usually succeeds.
- The notice has almost no text to summarise.

## What the summary is not

The AI summary is an overview of the notice, not an evaluation against your filter. Evaluated tenders on the Results page show the AI's reasoning instead. See [The AI summary](/knowledge-base/ai-summary).
