> You sign in to Tender Navigator with your work email and password on the Sign in page. A forgotten password is reset through an emailed link. Sessions last seven days; an expired session signs you out, and a dashboard page then asks you to sign in again. An account whose email is not confirmed cannot open the dashboard.

## Signing in

1. Open [Sign in](/login). The header of every marketing page links to it.
2. Enter your **Work email** and **Password**.
3. Press the sign-in button. You land in the dashboard.

Signing in with Google or Microsoft is not available today; every account uses an email and password.

## Forgotten password

1. On the Sign in page, press **Forgot password?**.
2. Enter your email. Tender Navigator emails a reset link ("Check your inbox"). The request is protected by reCAPTCHA.
3. Open the link, set a new password that meets the rules below, and sign in.

If the email does not arrive, check the spam folder and confirm you entered the address the account uses.

## Password rules

At least 8 characters, at least 1 number, at least 1 capital letter, and at least 1 special character from this set: # ^ + = ! * ( ) @ % & , . The signup and reset forms show a live checklist.

## Sessions

A session lasts **seven days**. Tender Navigator keeps the session alive while you use the product; when it expires, you are signed out. On a dashboard page you are sent to the Sign in page; on a public page you simply appear signed out and can keep reading. Signing in again restores everything; nothing in your account is affected by a session ending.

**Log out** is in the account menu in the topbar and in the mobile menu.

## Unconfirmed email

An account whose email address has not been confirmed with the six-digit code cannot open the dashboard. Every dashboard page returns to the "Confirm your email" step until the code is accepted. See [Creating a Tender Navigator account](/knowledge-base/creating-an-account).

## Security notes

- Tender Navigator stores passwords hashed and never shows them.
- Use a password manager and a unique password; the rules above are a minimum.
- Changing your password from the Account page emails you a confirmation.

Sign-in trouble is covered in [Login and account issues](/knowledge-base/login-and-account-issues).
