Activating, pausing, duplicating and deleting filters
A Tender Navigator filter is either Active or paused. Only active filters search and evaluate tenders. Each plan allows a fixed number of active filters; activating one beyond the limit is refused. Paused filters are kept, editable and free, and can be duplicated or deleted.

Active versus paused
- Active. Tender Navigator checks new tenders against the filter every day, evaluates the ones it picks up, and sends the digest email on schedule. Active filters count against your plan's active-filter allowance and their evaluations count against the cycle's evaluations.
- Paused. The filter is stored and editable, but nothing is searched, evaluated or emailed. Pausing loses nothing; switching back on resumes from the next daily run. The Filters page shows paused filters under Paused.
Every new filter starts paused, whether created by hand, from a search or from the Business Profile.
Switching a filter on
- Open the filter from Filters.
- Make sure the Filter setup checklist is complete: at least one keyword, at least one country, at least one classification code, and an AI prompt.
- Use the status switch to set it to Active, or press Save & Activate after editing.
The toast "Filter activated" confirms it. The first evaluated tenders usually arrive within a day.
The active-filter limit
Each plan allows a number of filters to be active at the same time (for example two on Basic). Creating paused filters is unlimited; the cap applies to active ones. When you try to activate one more than the plan allows, Tender Navigator refuses with the message "You have already reached the limit of active filters" and offers to upgrade. Pause another filter to free a slot, or see Plans and what they include.
The Subscription page shows "Active filters allowed" as used / allowed, and the filter page shows the account's remaining activations.
Pausing a filter
Use the same switch on the filter's page, or the actions menu on the Filters page. The toast reads "Filter paused". Pausing frees an active slot immediately.
Duplicating a filter
The actions menu on the Filters page offers Duplicate. The copy carries every setting of the original, including the budget rule and the evaluation limit, under a near-identical name, and starts paused. Use it to run the same criteria with a different prompt, or the same prompt in another market.
Deleting a filter
Delete in the actions menu, or the Danger zone at the bottom of the filter's page, removes the filter after a "Delete this filter?" confirmation. The tenders it already evaluated stay on the Results page; deleting a filter does not delete its results.
What activation does not change
Activating a filter never re-evaluates tenders it evaluated before, and editing an active filter takes effect from the next daily run. Past results keep the snapshot of the filter they were evaluated against.
