Account and profiles

The Business Profile

The Business Profile is a private, structured description of your company stored on your Tender Navigator account. It is never shown publicly. Once sufficiently complete, Generate filter turns it into a draft filter with keywords, countries, classification codes and a structured AI prompt, created paused for review.

What it is

Business Profile in the dashboard sidebar (Account section) is a page where you describe your company once. The page states it plainly: this private profile is used to match and evaluate tenders for your company. Nothing on it is public. The public counterpart is the Supplier Profile.

The first visit shows "Set up your Business Profile" with a create button; creating it also creates the Supplier Profile, so either page's create button works.

The sections

SectionWhat to enter
Operating regionsWhere you bid for and deliver work.
What you doYour industries, services, products and search terms.
Target buyersWho you sell to and the sectors you serve.
Procurement codesThe CPV, NAICS and UNSPSC codes for the work you want to see. See CPV, NAICS and UNSPSC codes.
Capacity & qualificationsLanguages, certifications, contract sizes and track record.
ExclusionsIndustries and topics you never want to see.
Evaluation notesWhat makes a tender a good or bad fit for your company.

A completeness card shows how much of the profile is filled in and which sections are still empty. The Overview page shows a smaller profile card until the profile is largely complete.

Saving

Changes are saved with Save Business Profile in the sticky bar at the bottom; Discard changes restores the last saved version. Leaving the page with unsaved changes asks for confirmation. Every validation message is derived from what is on screen, so an error disappears as soon as the value is corrected.

Generate filter

When the profile holds enough information, the Generate filter section on the page offers to create a filter from it. Tender Navigator builds a draft with:

  • keywords from your services, products and search terms;
  • countries from your operating regions;
  • the procurement codes you entered;
  • a structured AI prompt assembled from what you do, your target buyers, your capacity and qualifications, your exclusions and your evaluation notes.

The draft opens in the filter editor, where a banner confirms it was pre-filled from your Business Profile. Review every field and the prompt, add anything the profile could not know, and save. Like every new filter, it starts paused; the same draft is offered by the "Pre-fill from your Business Profile" banner when you create a filter by hand. See Creating and editing a filter.

Does the profile change evaluations?

Today the Business Profile feeds evaluations only through the filters it generates: the prompt in a filter is what the AI reads. Editing the profile afterwards does not alter existing filters or results. Update the filter's prompt directly when your criteria change.
