Cancelling your subscription
Cancelling a paid Tender Navigator subscription is a downgrade to the free Basic plan, started with Downgrade on the Basic card of the plan comparison on the Subscription page. Tender Navigator first shows an offer to stay when you are eligible, then asks for a reason and a short comment. The downgrade is scheduled for the end of the paid period and can be undone until then; afterwards the account continues on Basic. Basic itself cannot be cancelled.

Cancelling a paid plan means going back to Basic
Every account has the free Basic plan. A paid plan is a subscription on top of it, so cancelling that subscription does not close anything: the paid plan runs to the end of the period you have paid for, and the account then continues on Basic.
- Open Subscription in the dashboard.
- In Compare plans, press Downgrade on the Basic card. The Basic card of the Pricing page does the same. The current plan card above the comparison has no such button: a plan is changed in the comparison only.
- If you are eligible, Tender Navigator first shows an offer to stay ("Wait - here's an offer to stay"). Accept it, or choose to continue with the downgrade.
- In the Downgrade to Basic? dialog, choose a reason from the list and write a short comment (10 to 1,000 characters). Confirm with Confirm downgrade.
The reasons offered are the ones Stripe records: customer service, low quality, missing features, other, switched service, too complex, too expensive, unused.
The offer to stay
The offer is made to somebody leaving a plan they pay for: the next month free. Accepting applies it within a few minutes and the plan continues. If the eligibility check fails, Tender Navigator goes straight to the downgrade dialog rather than blocking it.
What Downgrade to Basic scheduled means
The downgrade takes effect at the end of the current paid period, not immediately. Until then:
- the paid plan stays your current plan, filters keep running and digests keep arriving;
- the Subscription page shows a Downgrade to Basic scheduled banner and the date under Switches to Basic on;
- Basic is marked Next plan in the comparison, and the other plan buttons are locked;
- no upcoming payment is shown, because no further invoice is coming.
Keep Standard or Keep Premium on the plan card undoes the downgrade after a confirmation ("You are staying on Standard"). The plan then renews as before.
After the switch to Basic
- The account stays open with every page of the dashboard. Filters, results, lists and profiles are kept.
- Basic's limits apply: fewer active filters and fewer evaluations per cycle. Before the switch, pause the filters you need least and keep the ones that matter running.
- Invoices stay listed on the Subscription page, with their downloads.
- Coming back to a paid plan is an upgrade from the plan comparison, through checkout.
Basic cannot be cancelled
There is nothing to cancel or renew on Basic: it is free and has no subscription. To stop receiving tenders, pause the filters. To close the account altogether, see the next section.
Deleting the account
A downgrade does not delete the account or its data. See Managing your account.
