Getting started

The platform tour in Tender Navigator

Tender Navigator has four short guided tours inside the dashboard: Find tenders and save a filter, Finish and switch on a filter, Read your results, and Work a list. Any tour can be started from the Product tour button in the topbar, and only one of them ever starts on its own.

Each tour has at most four steps. A step either asks you to act (a highlighted instruction with an arrow, for example "Press Search") or to read ("Nothing to click here - press Next").

Starting a tour

  • Product tour button. The topbar of every dashboard page has a Product tour button (a compass icon; the label appears on wider screens). It opens a dialog listing every tour with its status and a Replay or Take the tour action. The same entry sits in the account menu.
  • Tour bars on the page. The Pre-search tool, a filter page, the Results page and a list page each show a small bar offering their tour ("Take the tour"). After a run, the bar offers "Replay the tour" instead.
  • After a subscription. Right after a confirmed subscription or upgrade, the Overview offers the first tour once. "Maybe later" dismisses the offer for good.
  • Automatically, once. "Finish and switch on a filter" starts by itself when you arrive at a filter you have just saved from a search, because the dialog you came from told you to open the filter next. No other tour starts on its own.

Tours that need a specific record use a real one: the filter tour lands on your newest paused filter (or newest filter), and the list tour on the first list that has tenders in it. If there is nothing to run on, the dialog says so ("Create a filter first", "Save at least one tender to a list first") instead of offering a button.

Leaving a tour

Leaving is deliberate: press Escape, the X on the card, or Skip tour. Clicking the dimmed page does not end the tour, so a missed click cannot lose your progress. Some steps offer Later, which pauses the tour; the page then offers "Resume the tour".

Progress follows your account

Tour progress, checklist dismissals and the "Maybe later" answers are stored on your account, not only in the browser, so a tour finished on a laptop is not offered again on a phone. Replaying a tour never resets anything else: not filters, lists, the profile or the subscription.

When a tour stops by itself

If the element a step points at is not on the page, the tour stops and a message says what to do, for example widening the date range on the Results page so that a row exists. Nothing is recorded as skipped in that case; the offer comes back.
