Troubleshooting

No tenders found

A Tender Navigator search that returns nothing usually has criteria that are too narrow, most often a budget rule that excludes tenders without a published budget. A filter that produces nothing is usually paused, has not completed its first daily run yet, or is being viewed outside the Results page's default seven-day window.

Work through these in order; each one widens the search.

  1. Switch off budget exclusion. If "Published budgets" is set to exclude tenders without a stated budget, most notices are dropped, because most publish none. Include them, or remove the budget range entirely.
  2. Remove the countries. Empty means any country. A country you did not expect can be where the buyer sits.
  3. Add synonyms as keywords. Keywords are ORed: adding "cloud hosting" next to "cloud migration" widens the search. Use the words procurement notices use, not your product names.
  4. Check the code. A classification code narrows to notices that carry it. Try the category one level up (for CPV, the family ending in more zeros), or add codes from another system.
  5. Try one criterion at a time. Keywords only, then a code only, to see which one is empty on its own.

See Keywords, countries and codes and Filtering tenders by budget.

A filter produces no results

  • Is it active? A paused filter does not search. The Filters page groups paused filters under Paused, and the Results page says "Your filters are paused" when all of them are.
  • Has a daily run completed? Filtering runs daily; a filter activated today produces its first results after the next run. The Results page says "Your first evaluations are on the way" meanwhile.
  • Are you looking at the right window? The Results page opens on the last seven days. Use Quick range (up to Last 3 months) or the Evaluated from and to dates.
  • Is the filter reading anything? Open the filter: Evaluations performed shows how many tenders it read this month. Zero after a few days means the criteria match nothing; test the same keywords, countries and codes in the Pre-search tool and widen them there first.
  • Are tenders stuck? Stuck tenders above zero means the filter picked up tenders but could not evaluate them because the plan's evaluations for the cycle, or the filter's own limit, were used up. See Filter usage and limits.
  • Everything Unmatched? That is not "no results": the tenders were read and judged not a fit. Switch Match to All on the Results page to see them, and sharpen the prompt. See Too many irrelevant tenders.
